We found this bike collecting dust for decades in an old garage upstate.

The original story with this model is that Schwinn, after generations of producing bikes out of Chicago, saw the international writing on the wall and contracted some imported models from Panasonic, high quality framebuilders in Japan but much cheaper to produce, back when Japan was what China is today.
It was meant to be a Paramount-level bike.

Hand-brazed, double-butted, 4130 cromoly steel, chrome plated head lugs, fork crown and front/rear fork ends, and heavy-duty forged Suntour GS horizontal dropouts with screw adjust.

But parts from 1973 were vastly inferior to what is available now. Alot has changed in almost 50 years so we have done a resto-mod with all current parts.
Lighter, faster, more efficient, more comfortable.
And more colorful.

In short a better riding experience.
